Here you will find out a bit more about our wedding band Dublin
John – Lead Vocalist
John was raised in a family of singers; his Dad Liam, was a professional Tenor and his sister Siobhan, a trained soprano and member of the Dublin County Choir for twenty years. It should be no surprise then that singing came naturally to Barry from an early age. His Dad raised him under musical influences such as Pavarotti, Domingo, Tony Bennet and Frank Sinatra. This quality music has fused with Barry’s other eclectic influences such as Fleetwood Mac, Simply Red, Chris De Burgh, Hall and Oates, Billy Joel, and currently from Robbie Williams to Michael Bublé. All these artists are only scratching the surface of what’s available in Barry’s musical range.
Dublin’s Top Wedding Band, He was classically trained in his early twenties, but then turned to more modern music and the pub/club scene throughout the 1990’s. He spent over a decade gigging in Ireland, UK and most notably Mexico, performing in various guises, and is renowned on stage as an infectious crowd pleaser with a smoke and honey voice. Barry also has a rare talent for adapting to every type of crowd, young, old, large or small. In the last two years Barry has been performing on the Leinster scene as a solo act in venues as diverse as luxurious high end restaurants in Dublin, to after wedding parties and private corporate gatherings in members and sports clubs. Barry has now surrounded himself with like-minded musicians who all have the same musical goal and desire to bring back classy feel good music that you simply don’t hear on the “regular” music scene.
Connor started his music career in the late 70’s and has been continually playing music ever since. He believes that music should be played from the soul and not primarily for monetary gain. He plays a ‘Drum Workshop’ Collector Series drum kit with Zildjian cymbals. Unlike most drummers, he uses a vast array of Ethnic and Percussion instruments to further enhance the variation of his sound and to deviate from the norm, “more colours with which to paint my picture”. Since he has been playing drums for over thirty years, he has vast experience of playing live and touring both nationally and internationally in the UK and most of Europe. He is a very competent drummer in every style of music and always rises to the challenges of a new band, both on and off stage. Because of his high standards and experience, he is the first to be called when a stand in drummer is required at very short notice. “Always reliable and always on time, every time”……
Roger has been playing guitar since he was a child. He studied guitar in the “Nice Noise” School of Music from which he graduated in 2001. Artur also holds Grade 8 London College of Music qualifications in electric guitar playing. He has performed various guitar styles which include blues, rock, pop and soul. Over the years he has collaborated with many successful, original and cover bands on the Irish music scene. Artur has recorded, gigged and toured throughout Ireland with a number of acts including the Roxanne Police tribute band, the Queen Experience, Mambo Rock, Cry Baby, Sharon Ryan and Soul Central.
Stephen hails from a legendary musical background. His father was a long-standing member of the Army Band of the Curragh Command. He served as a solo clarinetist for forty-six years. Alan himself was a member of the same band until its demise in the year 2000. He is a multi-instrumentalist and currently teaches concert flute in the secondary school in Bunclody, Co. Wexford. He also plays guitar and the tenor sax. Alan’s chosen instrument with RECALL is the bass guitar. Alan has played with a number of well-known bands over the years and music to Alan is about having fun, whether it’s playing live or simply sitting back and listening. He thrives on the nice easygoing atmosphere that exists between the members of this band.
Janette began to play keyboards more then thirty years ago but his musical adventure commenced in earnest back in 1986 when he founded his first band. This band gigged together for many years. In 2006 Jan moved to Ireland and settled in Portlaoise. Since his arrival here Jan has worked with several successful top class Irish bands gigging across the country in many famous venues such as the Cork Opera House and the Olympia Theatre in Dublin. Jan oozes class on the keyboards and manages to cleverly blend his technical approach with his smooth spontaneous style.
